Normalizing guns in your home can make a significant difference in how children perceive and react to firearms. In households where guns are part of daily life\, children must learn they are tools to be respected\, not toys to be played with. Rather than making guns a taboo topic\, normalizing open discussions about firearms can demystify them and reduce the risk of accidents. \nData supports this approach. In homes with young children\, accidents are more likely to happen if there’s no clear understanding of what guns are and how they should be handled. This is not the Hunter Education course required by TPWD to receive a hunting license. \nThis course is taught by Terry Barber\, a 20-year veteran of law enforcement with over 30 years of teaching experience. \nIf a student is unable to attend the course date they paid for\, they will be allowed to attend our next course on the next scheduled date.
