Shooters Texas was formed in 2008 as Shooters Shotgun Shack, LLC. In 2013 we began using the dba, Shooters Texas. We worked out of our home and were a major presence at local gun shows for several years. We also have been conducting license to carry classes since 2008 where we have assisted well over 3000 people in acquiring their LTC.
After working for 20 years in law enforcement, my wife Kalena and I had seen numerous incidents of firearms misuse and tragic outcomes from people not knowing proper firearms safety. We wanted to take our experiences and work to help our community be safe and knowledgeable about proper use and handling of firearms.
Together, we have raised three boys who all work in some capacity with us at Shooters Texas.
