*possessing your texas license to carry certification is required before taking this course*
day 1 (8 Hours)
pre-qualification of written test
Evaluation of pre-course knowledge on existing LTC laws and regulations (90% required).
pre-qualification of live fire
Evaluation of shooting technique & knowledge maintained from your LTC qualification (90% required).
Classroom Instruction
This portion focuses on the protection of students, tactics for denying an intruder entry into a classroom or school facility, how to defend against an intruder using items commonly available in a classroom, and which items you should keep in your class room.
proficiency test
Final firearms qualification of shooting technique and knowledge learned throughout the course (90% required).

Day 2 (8 hours)
classroom instruction
This portion focuses on how to “think and act” under stress, how to interact with first responders, guidelines for carrying in a school, and valuable life saving information during an emergency.
scenario training
Discuss “what if” scenarios based on your classroom layout, possible emergencies that can take place, and how to handle the situation accordingly.
shooting under duress
Practice timed shooting drills, malfunction clearings, magazine changes, and how to function under stressful situations.
written exam
Final exam based on all knowledge learned throughout the course (90% required).
